Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

Paradigm Shift: from Approximation to Accuracy!

Pulmonary fibrosis is an active therapeutic area in drug development, with a double challenge. Currently, there is no approved therapy against pulmonary fibrosis, but preclinical research is struggling to provide more reliable and physiological models. In addition, current literature highlights the need to develop an accurate, reproducible and observer-independent assessment of pulmonary fibrosis.

A unique multiparametric image analysis have been developed to measures key morphometric parameters of pulmonary fibrosis with high accuracy and reliability:

    • Assessment of fibrotic foci and collagen
    • Exploratory Endpoints /strong>

Pulmonary Hypertension

A digital pathology technology able to see beyond the human eye capability

Visual histological assessment of pulmonary hypertension (PH) is particularly tedious. Beside its non-exhaustive character, the current methodology is extremely time-consuming and suffers from high variability.

To tackle these challenges, Biocellvia has developed a unique multiparametric image analysis. MorphoQuant assesses the key morphometric features of PH with high accuracy and reliability:

  • Blood vessel detection and classification per size
  • Measurements of muscular and endothelial layers for each detected blood vessel
  • Detection of obstructed vessels and plexiform lesions
  • Exploratory endpoints

Biocellvia: a company efficient on hot topic issue

Over the last couple of years, with the dramatic pandemic of COVID-19, there has been a rising concern around the investigation of pulmonary inflammation. As Biocellvia has committed to responding to hot topic as fast as possible, a unique multiparametric image analysis software was developed to support this research, with high accuracy and reliability:

  • Lung damage and remodeling
  • Assessment of inflammation
  • Exploratory endpoints

Emphysema

Automatization of tedious measurements

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most common lung diseases. Among the various symptoms, emphysema is characterized by destruction of alveolar septae. Currently, there is no curative treatment approved in this indication. Biocellvia wants to support the development of new drugs with curative potential in this pathology.

A unique multiparametric image analysis was developed for automated quantification of the key morphometric parameters of emphysema with high accuracy and reliability:

    • Various measurements of alveoli
    • Exploratory Endpoints /strong>

Objectivity and Accuracy Provide Better Insights for Decision Making

Liver diseases have dramatically increased over the last decades, due to poor nutritional habits and/or genetic predispositions. Preclinical models offer a good translational support for research but inter- and intra-variability in observation biases direct application in clinical trials. Biocellvia offers a solution to overcome this issue with a unique multiparametric image analysis software:/span>

Kidney Fibrosis

Studies adapted for several organs

Currently, there is no curative drug for patients with kidney fibrosis, except transplantation. Biocellvia wants to support the development of new drugs with curative potential for this pathology.

A unique multiparametric image analysis was developed for quantification of the key morphometric parameters of kidney fibrosis with high accuracy and reliability:

  • Assessment of tissue remodeling and collagen
  • Exploratory endpoints
